Beginning May 1, 2008, the National Statistics Office Regional Office XII shall collect P 15.00 Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) on all requests for issuance of certified and/or authenticated copy of birth/marriage/death certificates including indorsed documents and Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR) made thru our Batch Request System (BREQS). All applications made thru any of the Census Serbilis Centers nationwide are also required to pay the DST. This is pursuant to the Revenue and Tax Code and Sections 173 and 188 of the Revenue Memorandum Order No. 13-2008 dated March 13, 2008 issued by the Department of Finance, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Quezon City.
Payment for the DST shall be done upon filing of application form. Total amount to be collected per copy shall be as follows:

The certified/authenticated copy of birth/marriage/death certificates and CENOMAR requested along with the Official Receipt will be duly marked with “DOCUMENTARY STAMP TAX PAID.” For the mean time, manual stamping shall be done until such time that modifications in the Civil Registry System are through.
